I'm working on a new custom build and decided to learn how to use sketch up.
This is my first model, a 1:1 3D model of an AGM sten gearbox. Dimensions have been rounded off to the larger equivalents for simplicity. I also did not include the trigger in this model as i was not going to use it for my build. I though i'd share for those of you needing dimensions. Will update as i go along or as i build new reference models. Hope this helps!
Jerry-ADK: Yah, I guess WW2 airsoft isn't what they want at their event. Any other kind of WW2 enthusiast is ok, just not reenactors with bb guns. I guess ill have to join a BF unit if I want to go and period camp.

LϟϟAH1944: The thing is, its not an organized unit. Reading is mainly for larger, organized and established units.

unterfarbfuhrer: Hey. I'm starting out. I only have at the moment a M43 tunic/trousers set, and soon I will have a M40 Helmet. However, since I have no source of income, I need loaner gear. I would need lowboots and gaiters, leather belt and y-straps, and a breadbag.

unterfarbfuhrer: If it is alright, could I just use a East German canteen? Like I said, I have no source of income, so my hands are tied behind my back.

Jerry-ADK: Unterfarbfuhrer, where are you located?

patrickl29th: Do you use a m14 socom for a m1 Garand conversion or just a regular m14?

ssgjoe: Unterfarbfurher, what you could do is get an East German canteen than start to replace it with period correct stuff. First thing I would swap out would be to swap it for a wool cover, than a cup, then strap, and finally the flask.

Dracul: Ugh, I think I'm going mad. I can't seem to find that one reference thread that had links to the cheapest/cheaper US uniforms and gear.

patrickl29th: Dracul ATF has some cheap uniforms for there quality. I had my m1943s for 5 years and never had a problem

Dracul: Yeah, but I'm looking more for some of the gear. I forgot where I got my leggings, but I remember getting them for like 20 bucks and now I can't find any leggings for my wife thats under 40 bucks.

LϟϟAH1944: Why not just get an AGM mp40?
Aug 10, 2014 13:43:23 GMT -5
Dracul: Its honestly one of the cheapest WWII guns. Going for $120 on Evike, which I believe qualifies for free shipping as well.

Dracul: Seems like I lied there, right now its on sale at Evike for $96 bucks. Not bad at all: http://www.evike.com/products/27371/

LϟϟAH1944: Although the metal the AGm guns are made of is surprisingly bad...
